On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, twenty-seven new members of the William A. Dwyer Chapter of the National Honor Society at Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton were inducted in a ceremony attended by family members and Blue Hills staff and administrators including Principal Jill Rossetti.

“We are so proud of our NHS students and we really enjoy their community service projects, too,” Principal Rossetti said.

The evening featured opening remarks from Dean of Students Thomas Cavanaugh, and the introduction of NHS members by NHS Faculty Advisor Ms. Michelle Barley.

Four NHS members each spoke about one of the traits of all those who belong to NHS: Kimberly Delgado (Scholarship), Emily Ierardi (Service), Sabrina Branco (Leadership), and Brianna Lynch (Character).

The faculty guest speaker was teacher Matthew Morris, who gave a speech highlighting the value and importance of the four NHS pillars and praising the NHS members for their accomplishments both in and beyond the classroom.

“How very proud I am of each and every one of you,” he said, adding that their “drive for excellence” distinguishes them.
