Health Assisting

Biographical statement

I’m in 10th grade at BHR. I’m from Canton and live with my parents, Karoline and Billy, my brother Michael, and my two dogs, Lucy and Stella. Some sports I do at BHR are volleyball and swim team. After school, I have a job at Goldfish Swim School and I teach little kids how to swim.

Career goals

I am in Health Assisting and I really want to become a nurse practitioner and in the trauma area or surgery.

What BHR has done for you

What BHR has done for me is open my eyes up to the real world. They have helped me set up my life now and after high school. Also they are giving me new experiences than what a regular high school would.

Why you came to BHR instead of going to your local high school

I came to BHR instead of my local high school because I had heard that BHR was a good school to look into. Also they could give me something that other high schools can’t give and that is the technical program to choose. When I graduate, I will have two diplomas. I know this will look great in college applications.

A quotation that inspires you or that you live by

A quotation that inspires me is “Live every day like it is your last.” This is huge for me because this is telling that you shouldn’t waste any time and do what you want in your life.

Your favorite book or movie

My favorite movie probably is “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”

Best advice you ever received from a teacher/parent/family member/friend

My mom told me right as I was going into my first day at BHR “to keep your mind open because you might like something that you never knew you did.”

Advice you would give to a Grade 8 student applying to BHR

Some advice I would give to an eighth grader who is coming to look at BHR is don’t listed to negative opinions about this school. Also, have fun, try every technical program. You might be surprised that you like something.

Teacher or faculty member at BHR who has helped or inspired you the most

Some teachers who have inspired me at BHR are probably all the teachers in Health Assisting. Each and every one of them has helped me try to master clinical, medical terms, and muscles. They are the most caring people that I know there and they make shop week tons of fun.

Who is your hero

My hero is my mom. She is such a strong woman and I always go to her She is the most lovely mother and would do anything for you. She was one of the people who said you should look into BHR and I always thank her for showing me this great school.

Most memorable moment at BHR

The most memorable moments at BHR are the dances here. They are the best. You and all the grades come together and you just have a great time dancing the night away.
