Class of 2019
My name is Damari Dibbles, I’m a student mechanic in Auto Repair, I’m from Braintree, and I've played varsity football since I was a sophomore at Blue Hills.
After graduation, I will be attending Dean College in the fall. I will be majoring in Criminal Justice. Once done with college I plan to be a correctional officer.
What BHR has done for you
BHR has given me a chance to experience the skills and knowledge that comes with becoming and being an auto technician.
Why you came to BHR instead of going to your local high school
I came to Blue Hills to be able to have academics once a week and learn an everyday trade another week.
A quotation that inspires you or that you live by
“Before anything great is really achieved your comfort zone must be disturbed.”-Ray Lewis
Your favorite book or movie
Favorite movie: “Fast and Furious” series
Best advice you ever received from a teacher/parent/family member/friend
“Why wait for something you want when you can go and get it?”
Advice you would give to a Grade 8 student applying to BHR
If being in a trade is really what you want, think long and hard on what technical program you’re going to pick. Don’t pick a shop you’re not going to be satisfied with.
Teacher or faculty member at BHR who has helped or inspired you the most
My technical teacher and football coach, Mr. Kiff. He inspires me because no matter how bad a cause may be, he always finds some way to solve the problem.
Who is your hero
My father is my hero because all my life he has turned nothing into something and he’s taught me life lessons that could help me if I ever run into any problems.
Most memorable moment at BHR
When I scored my first varsity touchdown as a sophomore against Old Colony. -2016
