What BHR has done for you

BHR has given me an advantage over other high school students because I already have some knowledge in my career path.  Also, BHR has helped me find new friends from numerous different towns who I probably wouldn't have met otherwise.  BHR also introduced me to the sport of rugby which I've grown to love.

Why you came to BHR instead of your local high school

Not only did my mom come to BHR, but I also attended the Open House and after seeing the Drafting/CAD program, I knew that I wanted to go to BHR.

A quotation that inspires you or that you live by

A quote that I have come to like is "Don't be afraid to be different." -Logic.  I really like this quote because, in today's day and age, everyone shapes themselves to appeal to others instead of focusing on what they want to be. Every person is different in some ways and I believe that we should embrace it rather than run from it or hide it.

Your favorite book or movie

My favorite movie is “The Polar Express.”

Best advice you ever received from a teacher/parent/family member/friend

The best advice that someone has given me is that I can do pretty much anything I set my mind to, as long as I'm willing to put in the work.

Advice that you would give to a grade 8 student applying to BHR

To an 8th grader applying to BHR, I advise that you try your best to stay yourself and make good decisions because high school is full of people trying to get you to do some crazy things.

Teacher or faculty member at BHR who has helped or inspired you the most

Mr. Sheehan

Who is your hero

I currently do not have a hero.

Most memorable moment at BHR

My most memorable moment at BHR is the first day of football practice of freshman year.  This is most memorable because I remember showing up and not knowing most of the people there.  This day helped me form new friendships before the school year began so that I'd at least know a few people. Still to this day I wish I could travel back in time and see what everyone was like, knowing what I do today.
