Career
After graduating from BHR, I attended Virginia State University, an HBCU located in Petersburg,
Virginia, where I got my Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and Mathematics. After graduating, I
accepted a full-time position at IBM as a Technical Solution Engineer, where I am still currently
employed. In 2021, I completed my Masters of Data Science program from Syracuse University.
How BHR prepared N’Dea or what she is doing now:
The skills I learned within the Computer Information Systems program gave me a great foundation
for the technical work that I would encounter in both degree programs and at my employer. The co-
op program also gave me an early taste of responsibility in the workplace.

Advice to Blue Hills Students:
Whether you go the college route or enter the workforce upon graduation, there is no one path to
success. Take your craft seriously and know that it could be a door that opens up so many larger
rooms/opportunities for you! Also, I’d recommend the co-op program to any eligible student! It is a
great opportunity to get some real-life experience in your field before graduating.
