Parent Teacher Conferences

Dear Parents / Guardians:

The first week in October marks the half-way point of the first term. This year, we have scheduled afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 26, so you can meet with instructors to check on your student’s progress.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible, this year we will be offering two different formats for our conferences:

  • Afternoon conferences will be virtual and will be held through Google Meet (You may book your session/s through this link: https://bluehills.youcanbook.me).
  • Our evening conferences will be a traditional, in-person meeting format. Pre-registrations are not required and meetings will be held on a first come, first served basis during the times listed below. We will have maps, teacher locations and student schedules available.

Conference Times

(Please note: conference times are organized by grade-level)

Academic Teachers will be available for all four conference sessions.

* Vocational Teachers will not be here on the evening of October 18, however, they are available in the afternoon on the 18th and during both sessions on the 26th.

If your student is in grade 9 or 11, and you would like to meet his/her vocational teacher, please consider one of the following options:

  • Attend the evening Parent-Teacher conference for grades 10 and 12 on October 26th
  • Call or email that teacher to make an appointment between 12:30 and 2:30 pm on October 18th
  • Call or email that teacher to make an appointment between 12:30 and 2:30 pm on October 26th

During Parent-Teacher Conferences, teachers and counselors will be available to meet with you. Please keep in mind that teachers would like to meet with all concerned parents, therefore we ask that you keep individual visits to a maximum of five minutes. If you need more time, please make an appointment in the Guidance Department.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to meet with our faculty. By working together, we will be able to provide the best possible education for all our Blue Hills students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul Bavuso

Academic Director
