Students in the Cosmetology program are familiarized with the basic fundamentals of hairstyling, skin care and nail care. Upon completion of 250 hours, students will perform supervised work on customers. . Graduates continue on to become journeyman, master electricians, telecommunication technician, and more. Among the topics covered in the four-year program are DC circuits and measurements, fabrication techniques, AC circuits and measurements, fabrication assembly/testing, use of operating manuals, troubleshooting techniques required to completely construct and test lab projects, analog and digital circuits, and introduction to personal computer setup and repair. Among the topics covered in the four-year curriculum are offset, screen printing, and digital technologies; operation of bindery machines; digital imaging and desktop systems; computerized color separation techniques with automated film processing; advanced desktop publishing; and precision electronic image assembly techniques. Health Occupations program teaches students Basic Nursing, Business, Values, Office Management, Foods and Nutrition, Human Growth and Development, and Health Issues. Among the topics covered in the four-year curriculum are safe work practices, welding, OSHA construction safety and health standards, computer programming for shop machinery, the importance of chemistry in welding and cutting processes, precision sheet metal layout, making templates, and using mathematical formulas to calculate material waste, project costs and unit conversions.
