Visit our Fall Open House
November 28, 2007, 6:00PM – 8:30PM
All 7th and 8th grade students and their families who reside within the Blue Hills Regional School District are invited to attend our annual Open House. Students, teachers, coaches, co-curricular advisors, administrators, and parents will be available to discuss our programs and to answer any questions. Families will have an opportunity to take tours of the campus. Applications will also be available. We look forward to meeting you and your family on campus.
Attend a High School Night
November, 2007
Private, parochial schools will be hosting High School Nights for their 7th and 8th graders. Representatives from the Admissions Office will be participating at these events. Dates and times will be made available.
Attend our Assembly Program
November though December, 2007
All 8th grade students who reside within the Blue Hills Regional Technical School District attending the public middle/junior high school will attend an Admissions Assembly Program at their school during a scheduled school day period. Dates and times will be made available at the district public school and the Admissions Office.
Attend a Tour of our Campus
January through February, 2007
All 9th grade applicants are invited to tour our campus. Dates and times are scheduled with the local public middle/junior high school within the Blue Hills Regional School District. Students are transported by bus from the district public schools. Parents and private, parochial school students are welcome to attend as well. Dates and times will be made available at the district public school and the Admissions Office.
Schedule a “Warrior for a Day” Visit
December 2007 through February 2008
If you are a 9th or 10th grade applicant and have not attended an assembly or tour of our campus, this program will provide you a closer look into the life of a Blue Hills Regional student and the unique career and technical offerings. Visitors will shadow a student host through this day visitation program. To schedule a visit, complete the Warrior for a Day Request Form and return to the Admissions Office. INSERT LINK HERE
Initial Application Deadline
February 1, 2008
Your initial application should be submitted to either your guidance counselor or the Admissions Office, so that the Admissions Office can receive all components of your application by our Application Completion Deadline. Late applications will be considered. However, it may limit your opportunity for admission.
Application Completion Deadline
March 1, 2008
Your school guidance counselor or designee must submit all supporting information to complete your application such as grades, recommendation, conduct and attendance evaluation forms.
Applicant Interviews
January – April 1, 2008
All applicants must be interviewed following the receipt of the completed application packet from the local school. Interviews will take place at the district public schools and on-campus. Interviews will be arranged with the district public schools and/or with parents. Interviews may take place following the tour program at Blue Hills Regional Technical School, at local district public schools or on-campus. All interviews are targeted to be completed by April 1st.
Decision Notification
Mid-April/May
Decision Notifications will be mailed out from mid- April through May 10, 2008. Later notification letters will be sent until the numbers of openings are completely filled.
Confirmation of Intention to Attend
May 1, 2008/May 21st/June
Accepted students must notify Blue Hills Regional of their intention to attend Blue Hills by May 1st . If no such notification is received, applicants on the waiting list will be accepted in their place.
