YMCA rents space at Blue Hills for Recreational Day Camp Activities

The South Shore YMCA is a not-for-profit
association of individuals dedicated to improving the quality
of life for all through programs that promote a Healthy spirit,
mind and body. The programs strive to strengthen the family,
guide the youth of today and meet the ever-changing needs
of the community.
The goal of the YMCA Day Camping is to help children grow
physically, mentally and spiritually. Creating a safe environment
and providing challenging activities under the guidance of
a caring, well-trained staff, the YMCA offers children experiences
that last a lifetime.
All staff participate in a comprehensive staff training program
and forgo a Criminal Investigation Check (CORI) and a Sexual
Offenders Check (SORI) and are mature high school or college
students/adults with camping or recreational experience. Counselor
to camper ration is 1:10 for traditional Day Camp and for
Young Tots Camp and Little Tykes Camp is 1:5. Camps are operated
in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Day Camping
regulations.
Parents must provide Transportation to and from camp each
day
The YMCA will provide before and/or after camp care under
the supervision of staff.
Early Care: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Late Care: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Camp management reserves the right to dismiss a child from
camp if the child’s behavior is disruptive to the camp
program.
No refund will be given if notification is not received two
weeks prior to the first day of designated session. After
this time, refunds will only be given for certified medical
reasons. This policy will also adhere to financial aid recipients.
Camps and Programs for ages 3-15 years of age.
Registration for all campers begins March. Walk-in or mail-in
registrations will be accepted at the South Shore YMCA at
79 Coddington Street, Quincy, MA 02169
The
South Shore YMCA serves the entire community by providing
financial assistance. Assistance is determined based on individual
need. You may pick up a financial aide application at the
front desk of the YMCA at 79 Coddington Street, Quincy or
you may call 617-479-8500 ext. 115 a confidential aid application
will be mailed to you.
